2nd Shift Custodian

Job Summary
Custodian responsible for preparing spaces for the next day by cleaning and tidying, sweeping/mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, sanitizing restrooms, restocking disposables, cleaning windows/entrances, maintaining janitor’s room, performing minor repairs, reporting damages, securing facilities after hours, and undertaking occasional custodial tasks (e.g., snow removal, lifting/moving items). Must follow safety rules, report hazards to head custodian and principal, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency
- experience in maintenance and/or custodial work
- ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders
- knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of cleaning/sanitizing solutions
- detail-oriented and thorough
- ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools/equipment used in routine maintenance
- ability to keep the school clean and orderly
- ability to interact with staff, students, parents, and visitors professionally
