Job Summary
Coordinate and supervise daily cleaning operations across university living areas, including inspections of assigned zones and monitoring of standards with occupants. Manage a team of supervisors, head custodians, and custodians by designing shift schedules, assigning work tasks, and evaluating performance. Conduct training programs, implement new procedures, and prepare payroll, disciplinary reports, and progress updates on building conditions. Maintain supply inventory, process purchase requisitions, and coordinate event setups while establishing working relationships with students, faculty, and staff. Operate cleaning equipment and respond to emergency situations on-call during nights or weekends. This role reports to the Account Manager and includes optional daily pay.
Required Qualifications
- Must have prior management experience of 3+ years
- Five years facilities management experience in commercial real-estate, institutional or academic setting
- Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures related to general business operations, facilities management and personnel
- Ability to monitor and control operational costs while maintaining high performance standards
- Working Knowledge of construction management, architectural design principles, building codes and inspection procedures
- Leadership of diverse work groups with ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels
- Skills in conducting high-level meetings; conflict-resolution and presentation skills
- Ability to be on-call and respond nights or weekends for emergency situations
- Ability to walk throughout the campus
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
- Ability to operate carpet extractor, floor buffers, and various cleaning equipment
