Job Summary
Lead a team of employees to complete daily and weekly tasks and on time while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area. Conduct crew meetings to provide clear instruction, train team members to reach daily production, and ensure safety policies and operations processes are followed at all times. Record and report time length for each task, inspect product quality, and complete all daily reports. Maintain open communication with management and operate machinery including table lifters and internal vehicles, with occasional work in confined spaces and various weather conditions. This role requires working outdoors, lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance, and performing essential duties involving standing, squatting, and bending.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year(s) experience in a leadership role
- 1+ year(s) experience in Manufacturing/Warehouse environment
- 1+ year(s) experience in horticulture growing
- Strong leadership skills and ability to give/receive constructive feedback
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to work and communicate across multiple departments
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to problem solve, troubleshoot, and seek solutions to problems
- Detailed-oriented with the ability to multitask
- Must be able to work in various types of weather conditions
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
- Fluency to read, write, and understand the English language
- Must be able to work in all outdoor elements, including dust and allergens
- There are occasional needs to work in confined spaces
- Position requires long-term ability for standing, sitting, squatting, bending, reaching, and twisting on a regular basis
- Candidate must have the ability to operate all machinery necessary within the department and across the facility
- Must be able to operate the table lifter
- Must get certified and operate on internal vehicles
- Employee must have the ability to life 35 pounds unaided
- Must regularly lift up to 50 pounds with assistance
