Job Summary
2nd Shift Code Welder II at L&L Fabrication in Loveland, CO is a full-time role performing both Code and Non-Code welding with the ability to pivot between welding, fitting, and contributing to team development. Responsibilities include welding with GMAW, FCAW, and SMAW per WPS, meeting quality expectations, possibly advancing to 100% NDT, and using oxy-fuel, plasma, saw, mag-drill, and grinder. The position requires safe operation of shop equipment, forklift usage, collaboration to build welding and fabrication capabilities, meticulous work order preparation, and maintaining equipment and work areas. The role is within an ASME Code vessel shop (U and R stamps) and emphasizes safety, quality, and on-time delivery. Required Qualifications
- Code Welding Experience (ASME Sec. 8/9, B31.3, AWS D1.1, AWS D17.1)
- Weld Testing Requirements (3G Plate Test - GMAW Vert Up on 3/4 Plate; 4G Plate Test – GMAW OH on 3/4” Plate)
- Ability to read and follow assignments and blueprints
- Basic understanding of mathematics related to welding
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 100 pounds infrequently
- Willingness to operate forklift and work in a team environment
- Ability to weld vertical, flat, or overhead positions
- Experience with GMAW, FCAW, SMAW per WPS
