Job Summary
Operate CNC Swiss machines with live tooling to produce high quality parts per blueprint specifications. Read and interpret drawings with GD&T, set tooling/tool offsets on Fanuc controls, and maintain tight tolerances. Inspect parts using precision gauges (micrometers, pin gauges, bore gauges, thread gauges, plug gauges, height gauges, comparators) and record production data. Maintain safety and cleanliness in a high-volume manufacturing environment; deburr parts as needed and troubleshoot tool wear to preserve customer specifications.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate
- Post-Secondary Certificate in an engineering-related technology or CNC trades (or related field)
- At least 3 years of CNC operation experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Understanding of GD&T
- Familiarity with CNC Swiss machines and measuring equipment
- Ability to hold tolerances as tight as +/-.0002
- Ability to operate up to 2 machines at a time
