Job Summary
Operate and adjust CNC Horizontal and Vertical Machining Centers and Lathes to produce high-quality products meeting exacting tolerances. Load and unload parts, inspect finished components, and perform repeat job setups while creating fixturing for new work. Execute machine operations including turning, boring, drilling, and profiling; read and edit G-code programs to compensate for tool wear. Conduct daily maintenance checks, perform preventative maintenance, and execute general shop tasks as assigned. Maintain clean, safe work areas and ensure parts remain within statistical process control. Requires ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 pounds, and work overtime.
Required Qualifications
- High school education
- V-Tech or Technical school background
- journeyman papers
- Knowledge of machining techniques and methods
- Familiarity with CNC Machine tool operating procedures
- Ability to read and edit standard "G" code programs
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to engage in repetitive pushing/pulling actions
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 40 pounds
- Good fine motor skills
- Ability to work overtime hours
