2nd Shift - CNC Machinist

Job Summary
Set up and operate CNC machining centers, lathes, and mills; write and optimize CNC programs for multi-axis machining using CAM software (MasterCAM preferred); prepare workholding and select cutting tools; inspect parts with defined tools and read blueprints to ensure conformance; collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Scheduling; maintain setup/operation documents; manage scrap levels and maintain a clean 5S workspace; provide training and guidance to production staff; forklift operation and physical requirements (lift up to 50 lbs); Aerospace experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- minimum three years’ experience in a metal shop
- Experience writing CNC programs in a machining environment
- Proficiency with CAD and CAM software (MasterCAM preferred)
- Experience with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers)
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and blueprints in English
- Proficiency in basic math
