Job Summary
2nd Shift CNC Machine Operator responsible for the setup and operation of CNC Mill Turns or Lathes to produce parts up to 24" in diameter and 13' long. Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, routing instructions, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances; independently perform machine setups, select programs/tools/feeds and speeds; monitor the machining process and make necessary adjustments to meet tight tolerances; read, interpret, and edit G-Code; document production data; use micrometers and calipers (and dial indicators) to verify measurements; perform safe lifting/manipulation of parts using hoists/cranes/forklifts; maintain cleanliness of work area; flexible schedule with 40-55 hour weeks, 10-hour days, potential 12-hour shifts; equal opportunity employer; accommodations available on request.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Technical degree in Machining preferred
- Minimum 5-10 years CNC machining experience preferred or equivalent experience
