2nd Shift - CNC Machine Operator

Job Summary
Operate manual and CNC machines to finish machined parts, including setting up tools, making offsets, and managing conditional switches. Read blueprints and specifications to verify positions and first-run parts through precise measurements, while troubleshooting malfunctions, adjusting controls, and replacing worn tools. Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and document all actions in production and quality logs. Adhere strictly to safety procedures and regulations throughout the 2nd shift. Maintain specifications by observing standards and updating job knowledge through technical publications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- 2+ years' experience using production machinery
- Understanding work order, blueprints, control plans, materials, specifications, drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, critical surfaces/edges, and machining parameters while interpreting geometric dimension and tolerances (GD&T)
- Understanding work instructions ad zero/reference points
- Understanding of basic math, geometry, and trigonometry
- Positive and proactive attitude toward completing work orders
- Willingness to learn and grow through Sun Hydraulics
- Meeting commitments and obligations
- Ability to lift 50 pounds at times
Desired Qualifications
- Technical college degree
- Experience working with a Mazak Star/Integrex or Swiss Lathes
