2nd Shift - CNC Machine Operator

Job Summary
Set up and operate manual and computer numerical control (CNC) machines to finish machined parts, including reading blueprints, specifications, and drawings. Perform tool changes, offsets, and compensation adjustments while maintaining equipment through preventative maintenance and following manufacturer instructions. Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run parts, and sample workpieces, and troubleshoot malfunctions by adjusting controls, sharpening, or replacing worn tools. Document actions in production and quality logs, communicate work order status and irregularities, and adhere to all safety procedures and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- 2+ years' experience using production machinery
- Understanding work order, blueprints, control plans, materials, specifications, drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, critical surfaces/edges, and machining parameters while interpreting geometric dimension and tolerances (GD&T)
- Understanding work instructions ad zero/reference points
- Understanding of basic math, geometry, and trigonometry
- Positive and proactive attitude toward completing work orders
- Willingness to learn and grow through Sun Hydraulics
- Meeting commitments and obligations
- Ability to lift 50 pounds at times
Desired Qualifications
- Technical college degree
- Experience working with a Mazak Star/Integrex or Swiss Lathes
