Job Summary
2nd Shift Burn Table Operator at Toledo Steel Supply responsible for operating CNC burning machines to complete customer orders, reading work orders, setting up and maintaining plasma/oxy gas cutting equipment, ensuring cut quality and tolerances, and performing basic maintenance and safety practices in a manufacturing shop environment. Requires high school diploma or GED, 1-3 years CNC machinery experience, ability to read measurements, and strong teamwork and communication. The role involves operating CNC plasma/oxy fuel burners to cut steel from 1/8” to 1-1/4” thick, following safety rules, and supporting production efficiency with quality material yield; overtime and physical demands are part of the job.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; certificate or diploma in engineering or relevant discipline is a plus
- Prior cutting machine (plasma, laser, or oxy) experience is required
- Mechanical aptitude and quality workmanship
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
- Good communication with other team members
- Ability to work overtime, at times on short notice
- 1-3 years’ experience of operating basic CNC Machinery
