Job Summary
Set up and operate hydraulic CNC press brakes and punch presses for routine fabrication work, selecting correct tooling and installing punches, dies, and fixtures according to specifications. Load workpieces, adjust machine speeds and ram strokes, and plan operation sequences while grinding burrs and replacing worn blades. Account for production via online data collection, maintain performance logs, and participate in preventative maintenance. Safely operate a forklift to handle materials and report quality or material issues to the maintenance team. Work the 2nd shift in a just-in-time shop with assistance provided as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong metal press forming and basic fabrication background
- Competency in basic dimensional measuring
- Ability to quickly learn the use of precision measurement tools
- Demonstrated competency in basic shop math
- Basic ability to read and understand blueprints and other shop drawing aids
- Ability to work with various types of metal forming constraints with guidance
- Ability to use a forklift
- Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change
- Work in an efficient and timely manner
- Aptitude to take orders and execute the same efficiently
- Demonstrated detail orientation
- Self motivation skills
- Ability to multi-task

- Previous experience with overhead crane use
