2nd Shift Braider Mechanic

Perform all required duties to maintain departmental braiding and related equipment in proper mechanical condition, including routine preventive maintenance, lubrication, and adjustments. Diagnose faulty operation resulting in incorrect braiding or stoppage by tearing down machines, determining trouble extent, and replacing worn parts. Use hand and small power tools for fitting, grinding, filing, and scraping during reassembly. Make temporary repairs or replacements to permit continued operation and execute machine changeovers or alterations for special braiding requirements. Maintain approved levels of repair parts and supplies, initiating resupply requests when needed. Detect and report defective material, faulty operation, and unusual conditions to supervision while keeping work areas clean and orderly. Follow environmental, health, and safety regulations.
