Job Summary
Blast and prep production items, miscellaneous parts, and products for paint using steel grit to remove rust on metal. Operate overhead cranes and run forklifts while carrying heavy blasters and moving materials weighing 50 to 100 lbs. Perform simple, repetitive tasks requiring attention to detail and the ability to follow work orders. Work non-traditional hours including evenings, with a schedule involving frequent stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing. Pass drug and alcohol screening, background check, and physical exam. Wear required PPE including eyeglasses, earplugs, and steel toe shoes.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to carry a heavy blaster and move materials (50-100 lbs)
- Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly
- Must be able to perform simple, repetitive tasks
- Must be able to pass drug and alcohol screening, background check and physical exam
- Required to sit, stand and walk
- Use hands to finger, hand or feel objects, tools or controls
- Frequent stooping, bending, pulling and pushing
- Reach with hands and arms
- Required to talk and hear consistently
- Ability to lift, carry and/or drag up to 100 pounds if necessary
- Must be comfortable in small spaces
- Specific vision required by the role include the ability to distinguish the nature of objects by using the eye
- Ability to wear PPE (Eyeglasses, earplugs, and steel toe shoes)
- Ability to ascend and descend two (2) flights of stairs
- Ability to work non-traditional hours, including evenings
Desired Qualifications
- Previous forklift experience and certification preferred
