Job Summary
Replace batteries in MHE equipment, electric power tools, and hand tools while performing major battery repairs, cleaning racks, and checking voltage with a VOLT OHM meter. Move material handling equipment safely using center riders and forklifts to the maintenance shop, then conduct safety inspections and basic soldering or welding as needed. Perform general repairs, clean battery trays, and complete all paperwork and inspection forms accurately. Work the 2nd shift from Thursday to Sunday (2:00 PM–12:15 AM) in warehouse environments ranging from 26F to 90F, requiring a valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 85lbs. Maintain a safe working environment and document all repairs in alignment with OSHA and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- Flexibility to work various or additional shifts, as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 80-85lbs.
- Standing, bending, lifting, and twisting for up to 90% of your shift
- Frequently lifting product from various heights, including floor level to over your head
- Ability to stand or walk at least 10 hours daily
- Working in various temperature-controlled environments
- Ability to operate required material handling equipment – getting on and off equipment throughout shift
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders on a daily basis
- Ability to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Working independently and as a team player
- Maintain integrity and high standards of product handling
- Maintain and drive safety policies
- Drive for accountability of safe practices throughout shift
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year of technical experience – Automotive or Industrial Equipment
- MHE experience (Electric pallet jacks such as center riders or long forks; forklifts)
- Own and maintain up-to-date tools of the trade
