Job Summary

2nd Shift Bakery Production Supervisor leads hands-on, on-floor operations across multiple production lines, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and morale. Role requires spending 80%+ of time on the production floor, coordinating daily huddles and safety/quality audits (SQF, USDA, FDA, Organic, or customer audits), supporting continuous improvement, training staff, and ensuring GMP and hygiene standards. Reports to Production Manager; direct reports include production employees. Requires experience supervising in a food-manufacturing setting, ability to manage schedules and timekeeping, and willingness to work extended hours and weekends. Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required; bilingual ability (Spanish or Hind) a plus. Maintains compliance with federal/state/local laws and company policies, supports R&D/QA line trials, and collaborates with maintenance for setup and repairs. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs, standing up to 8 hours, and working in a loud, cold manufacturing environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Supervisory experience in a food manufacturing setting Required.
  • Over 3 years’ experience in a management or supervisory role.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred but not required.
  • Experience leading Root Cause Analysis exercises.
  • Must have experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Must have experience with quality and hygiene requirements common in food manufacturing.
  • Must have experience leading employees in a food production environment.
  • Must demonstrate strong management, leadership, organizational and scheduling skills.
  • Must have experience working in a production environment with USDA, FDA and other regulated products.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and have a positive attitude.
  • Must have good written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be able to deal with stressful situations common in a manufacturing setting.
  • Must be able to work long hours and weekends are needed.
  • Qualified individuals must be at least 18 years old to work in the food manufacturing environment. The ability to follow work instruction and maintain the pace of production is required.
