Job Summary
The Assembly Technician III is responsible for working on mechanical and electrical apparatus associated with large generation equipment, including disassembly, cleaning, refurbishing, manufacturing, winding, and reassembling machinery. Key responsibilities include assisting in complex assembly operations, safely operating cranes and forklifts, conducting inspections, and learning various metal heating and brazing techniques. The role requires strong mechanical skills, the ability to operate hand and power tools, and proficiency in reading blueprints.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a service shop atmosphere
- Mechanical aptitude for disassembly and assembly
- Ability to use various hand tools and power tools
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Ability to use and interpret measuring tools
