Job Summary
2nd Shift Assembler Heavy responsible for assisting with product completion through assembly and adjustment of materials, reading and following blueprints and manufacturing drawings, performing heavy manual labor, and ensuring quality through first-piece and ongoing inspections. Maintains inventory at workstations, operates equipment safely, and keeps work area organized and compliant with safety standards. Must wear safety gear and be able to lift up to 35 pounds. Works in a team or individually to complete production tasks, with emphasis on maintaining safety, quality, productivity, and cleanliness. Experience with basic hand tools (wrenches, gauges, bolts) and crane/electric pallet operation is a plus. The role supports Hubbell's manufacturing and electrical solutions operations and requires manual dexterity, stamina for physical tasks, and adherence to procedures and safety guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, manufacturing drawings, bills of material, or other written instructions or procedures
- perform heavy manual labor
- quality inspections (first piece and subsequent inspections)
- maintain inventory of product in workstations
- operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- wear safety equipment (safety glasses, boots, gloves, ear protection)
- lift up to 35 pounds
- ability to work in a team or individually
- stand/sit/stoop/reach above shoulders up to 25% of time
- use basic hand tools (wrenches, gauges, bolts)
- perform repetitive tasks with dexterity
- physical stamina for demanding tasks
- crane or electric pallet operation (crane certification)
- ability to read and interpret written work instructions
