Job Summary
2nd Shift Advanced Maintenance Technician responsible for advanced preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems. Leads root-cause analyses, mentors junior technicians, and collaborates with Engineering on upgrades and installations. SME in electrical/controls troubleshooting and PLC logic, with a focus on safety (LOTO, arc flash) and Lean/Kaizen participation to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability. Must work a 2nd shift and lift up to 50 lbs in a manufacturing environment, with proficiency in CMMS and strong documentation practices.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate’s degree in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of multi-craft maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical/controls systems
- Strong PLC troubleshooting skills (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Proficiency with CMMS systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand or walk for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, and required PPE
- Demonstrated stamina for extended periods of physical activity and sustained concentration
- Flexibility to work varying shifts (8–12 hours), including occasional weekends
- Solid understanding of OSHA and ANSI standards, with a strong commitment to safe work practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
