Job Summary
Operate forklifts to move materials in warehouse and production areas, loading and unloading trucks, trailers, or carriers. Place finished product and inventory in designated labeled areas while rearranging Kan-Ban materials monthly to ensure oldest stock is used first. Verify daily that the forklift is in good working order and confirm all materials are properly labeled before movement. Provide materials to various assembly, welding, and shipping lines to maintain general efficiency. Perform additional duties assigned that are logically inherent to the position.
Required Qualifications
- General knowledge of forklift operation and material handling
- Ability to gain Training Certification/Operator Permit for forklift as defined by company standards
- Basic math skills as defined by company standards
- Ability to read and write legibly as defined by company standards
- Understanding of Basic Processes
- Ability to gain knowledge of company products and company quality procedures
- Ability to regularly sit, stand, walk, see, hear, reach, bend, twist, push, pull and occasionally stoop, kneel, lift or move objects of 51 pounds or less with or without assistance
