Job Summary
Assist Press Operators with make readies, press equipment operations, and quality control functions by operating the press based on written instructions and performing folder set-ups. Read job tickets to verify stock and ink match specifications, then execute quality pull sheet procedures to ensure every job meets customer specs and internal deadlines. Perform routine maintenance on the press as required and follow all safety policies while managing multiple projects under pressure. This second shift role involves working nights and weekends in a non-climate-controlled warehouse with exposure to loud noise and mechanical hazards.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work independently as well as with a crew/team
- Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently
- Must have a minimum of 2 to 4 years' experience as a Second Press Operator
- Ability to lift, twist and carry up 50 - 75 pounds
- Manipulate up to 160 pounds of product with material handling equipment and skids weighing up to 2,000 pounds utilizing pallet jack
- Walk throughout the warehouse to complete customer orders
- Stand when operating order picker or reach truck equipment and when operating cutter
- Sit only when driving sit-down material handling equipment
- Lift items weighing a few ounces up to 150 pounds with assistance
- Stoop when filling orders or putting away products assigned to floor level locations
- Bend at the waist
- Kneel when filling orders or putting away products assigned to floor level locations
- Regularly working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse where exposure to cold, heat, damp or humid conditions may occur
- Exposure to loud noise
- Exposure to dust, mechanical hazards, moving objects, and moving vehicles
