Job Summary
Study blueprints and sketches to determine materials and machines for fabricating or repairing parts. Operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to machine parts and verify conformance to specifications. Smooth surfaces, connect sensors in dies, and examine standard tools to recommend design modifications. Maintain equipment through daily inspections and operate overhead cranes. Cross-train with department co-workers and focus on continuous improvement within a fast-paced environment. Perform tasks with a focus on safety while maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of Tool & Die Experience
- Must have own tools
- Experience operating a forklift
- Ability to weld (MIG/TIG)
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to safely work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to work in a team environment or independently
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 45 pounds
- Must be able to stand

- Must be able to talk or hear
