Job Summary
Set up tools and machinery for individual projects by examining blueprints, work orders, and specifications to ensure proper setup sequences. Adjust necessary controls to regulate Mill machinery and verify measuring equipment are in proper working order. Perform all tasks in accordance with established safety procedures while maintaining a clean and safe work area. Requires mill machining experience, knowledge of FANUC controls, and ability to read charts and drawings. Second or third shift position in a fast-paced machine shop environment with minimal supervision required.
Required Qualifications
- Mill machining experience
- Knowledge of FANUC controls
- Able to use measuring equipment such as Calipers, Micrometers, Indicators, etc.
- Able to read and interpret charts, drawings and blueprints
- Knowledge of safety procedures relating to setting up Mill machinery and handling materials
- Ability to interpret, edit, and program efficiently, when required
- Must be able to set up Mill machinery with minimal supervision
- Must be able to follow directions and perform work accurately and thoroughly
- Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy
- Strong communication skills to work as part of a team
- High School Diploma, or GED
- Use of hearing protection, eye protection and safety shoes required
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of 4th axis operation, a plus
