Second Officer aboard a container ship, serving as the vessel’s primary Navigation Officer and Medical Officer under the Master. Responsibilities include safe passage planning, maintaining bridge equipment and charts, sustaining a professional navigational watch, keeping electronic and paper publications up to date, managing medical stores and first aid under Master’s supervision, supervising health promotion for crew well-being, assisting Chief Officer with cargo and ballast operations, and supervising mooring parties and port watches.
