Job Summary
Read blueprints, drawings, and technical instructions to execute welding tasks accurately. Perform MIG welding on mild steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel sheet metal components. Utilize grinders to smooth welds and remove excess material or spatter, ensuring precision and quality. This role supports fabrication shop operations within APX's metal manufacturing facility, which specializes in enclosures, custom fabrication, machining, and industrial coatings.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of experience in MIG welding
- Strong ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, calipers, tape measures, and angle gauges
- Capable of working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving manufacturing setting
