2nd Grade Teacher

Plan, organize and implement an instructional program in a learning environment for 2nd grade students, including development of objectives, state and parish-aligned lessons, and an effective classroom routine. Deliver instruction using varied materials, assess student progress, and adapt lessons to individual needs. Develop and participate in IEPs when appropriate; coordinate and communicate with parents and instructional staff; supervise paraprofessionals; maintain accurate records of attendance and progress; collaborate regularly with colleagues to improve student outcomes and ensure compliance with state and parish policies. Facilitate a safe, respectful classroom climate, manage transitions, and provide timely feedback to students and families while delivering research-based instruction and planning for professional growth.
