Job Summary
Develop and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards while creating assessments to monitor student performance. Collaborate with colleagues to align curricula and participate in ongoing professional development initiatives. Maintain a safe, positive environment for all 500+ students at Crescent Academy's PreK-11 school, fostering a college-bound culture through strong character and civic engagement. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff while contributing to school activities and meetings. Requires a Michigan teaching certification and Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification/license in Michigan with an endorsement in the grade level
- Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in planning and assessing educational activities
- Regular and predictable attendance
