Job Summary
Teach 2nd grade students, develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum and TEA guidelines, differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles, use technology to enhance learning, assess student progress, collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula, communicate with parents and staff, supervise teacher aides and volunteers, and participate in professional learning communities while maintaining a professional classroom environment and adhering to district policies and IEPs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned
- ESL Certification required for all ELA teachers
- Knowledge of subjects assigned
- General knowledge of design and delivery issues related to alignment for best results in student achievement
- Ability to deliver instruction and manage student behavior
- Student teaching or approved internship
