Job Summary
Substitute Elementary Teacher needed at St. James School (Arlington Heights, IL) for August through November. Responsibilities include implementing regularly scheduled teacher’s lesson plans or consulting with staff if plans are not provided, maintaining a clean, respectful classroom, following school procedures, keeping attendance/incident records, enforcing policies, ensuring student safety, working with diverse students, and communicating with students, parents/guardians, administrators, and others. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, valid state teaching licensure, 1–3 years of teaching experience, and experience teaching through remote learning platforms. Long-term substitute positions offer daily pay of $165 (and $175 with PEL) depending on qualifications and location.
