2nd-Grade Classroom and Religion Teacher

Second-Grade Classroom and Religion Teacher plans, guides, and evaluates students’ learning processes, reports to the principal, and upholds Catholic education standards. Responsibilities include planning instruction with logically sequenced objectives, submitting lesson plans online, providing materials and resources, using effective instructional methods, conducting formative and summative assessments, maintaining accurate records, managing classroom behavior, communicating with parents about academic, behavioral, and safety concerns, and maintaining a work schedule that supports students, parents, and staff. Qualified candidates must be a practicing Catholic in good standing, meet Diocese/TCCED teaching requirements, fulfill EIM obligations (application, training, and ongoing compliance), and pursue Theology-related certification as needed. Knowledge of Catholic teachings, classroom management, differentiation, technology use, professional collaboration, confidentiality, and strong communication skills are essential. The role is located in Temple, TX, with duties that involve working within a Catholic school community and support for the church’s mission; travel and on-site requirements may apply in the working conditions.
