Job Summary
2nd Grade BIL Teacher position in Irving Independent School District. Provide instruction in the core academic subject areas for 2nd grade students, using plans for the curriculum program, and presenting subject matter in alignment with Texas Education Agency guidelines. Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula for individualized needs, supervise teacher aides/volunteers, and integrate technology to enhance learning. Regularly monitor student achievement through formative and summative assessments and support extracurricular activities as assigned. Maintain effective communication with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues, and participate in district/campus professional development to support instructional goals and compliance with policies and ethics.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Valid Texas teaching certificate for subject/level assigned
- Completion of Texas Reading Academy required for Elementary
- At least one year of student teaching or approved internship
