Job Summary
2nd Engineer position aboard a cruise vessel (Azamara Pursuit) responsible for maintaining a safe engine room watch, leading safe operation of main and auxiliary engines, performing repairs and maintenance inside and outside the engine room, coordinating with technical and hotel departments, supervising subordinate Engine Officers, ensuring compliance with international standards and safety regulations, and operating in a contract arrangement with 14 weeks on/off. Requires STCW95, CoC A-III/1, C1D visa, diesel-electric engine experience, High Voltage Certificate, and strong English communication; offshore/onboard ship duties include safety drills, reporting, and vessel-wide technical governance.
