Job Summary
Operate 3 5MW Cogen plant units with Solar Gas Turbines, managing water treatment, air systems, cooling water, and city water booster pumps. Troubleshoot equipment failures, perform oil sampling and boiler controls testing, and monitor fire systems while maintaining operational integrity. Complete all log entries, records, and reports accurately on time. Respond to emergency situations, off load process aids and maintenance materials, and manage inventory of chemicals and supplies. Collaborate with other departments to ensure safe, efficient operations within strict housekeeping, safety, and environmental standards. Perform duties day or night shifts, including 12-hour rotations, while maintaining a strong work ethic and sense of urgency.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A valid 1st or 2nd Class TSSA Power Engineering certificate
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong Emphasis on safety
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable with a face-paced environment
- Self-starter with an ability to work with limited supervision
- Excellent sense of urgency, work ethic and attendance record
- Able and willing to work 12-hour shifts 7 days per week while on assignment
- Able to sit, walk, stand, and/or drive for extended periods of time
- Able to work extended hours
- Able to work day or night shifts
- Lift up to 50lbs
- Able to read, write and speak English effectively
- A Canadian resident and/or legally allowed to work within Canada
