Job Summary
Oversee daily store operations in the absence of the General Manager or 1st Assistant Manager, ensuring company standards are consistently met through direct involvement and supervision of 4 to 16 employees. Proficiently open and close shifts, complete required documentation, and ensure all paperwork is submitted accurately and on time. Supervise cash handling procedures, including control and bank deposits, while assisting with ordering inventory control and pricing merchandise. Directly supervise and train all store personnel on job duties, food handling, hold times, code dating, and temperature controls to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing all company policies, ensuring proper uniform compliance, and resolving customer, personnel, and mechanical issues as they arise. Report maintenance, customer, and personnel problems to upper management in a timely manner. Work nights, weekends, and holidays, including a minimum of three 2nd shifts per week opposite the manager.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Food Handler's permit or Serve Safe Certification where required by law or policy
- Knowledge of operations and maintenance of all equipment in the assigned stores
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work a minimum of three 2nd shifts per week opposite the manager ensuring that key operating hours have a manager on duty
- Reliable transportation and phone
- Regular and consistent attendance
- Ability to communicate in English
- Able and willing to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service
- Able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to frequently walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear
- Ability to occasionally sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Physical attendance at the primary work location
