Job Summary
Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipes, and electrical systems in commercial or industrial establishments. Coordinate with team members to diagnose problems, visually inspect and test equipment, and perform preventative maintenance. Listen for unusual sounds to detect malfunctions, dismantle defective machines, and install new or repaired parts. Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other components while repairing electrical apparatus like transformers and wiring. Repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment, ensuring timely and thorough breakdown repairs. This role requires 2nd or 3rd shift hours (2:30pm-11pm or 10:30pm-7am) with additional hours possible. Candidates need one to three months of mechanical experience, the ability to lift 50 pounds, and must pass a background check and preplacement screening. Required Qualifications
- Must complete a background and pre-employment drug screen
- Must complete a preplacement screening which tests the ability to perform the physical requirements of the position
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- One to three months of related mechanical experience and/or training
- Ability to work with latex gloves, airborne seasoning, cardboard dust, cleaning solutions, and hot water
- Ability to work in a noisy and fast-paced environment
- Good balance on slippery surfaces
- Sustain concentration for up to 3 hours at a time
- Must be available for 2nd shift: 2:30pm-11pm
- Must be available for 3rd Shift: 10:30pm-7am
- Additional hours may be required due to business demands
