2D Laser Technician

Job Summary
Skilled 2D Laser Technician to operate, program, and maintain 2D flatbed laser cutting equipment at our Jackson, MI facility. Responsibilities include logging production jobs with E2, loading sheets, reading blueprints, adjusting cutting paths and cut quality via software and manual overrides, performing preventative maintenance and optics alignment, managing job folders and material stock, and ensuring safe operations with lockout/tagout. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years manufacturing experience ( Lead role requires 3–4 years in 2D lasers ), strong blueprint-reading ability, problem-solving skills, capability to modify tech tables, and the ability to train others. Requires ability to obtain an industrial truck license, physical stamina to stand/move for shift, and willingness to work overtime in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; vocational training preferred
- 1–2 years of manufacturing experience; advanced manufacturing classes a plus
- Lead: 3–4 years of experience in 2D lasers
- Ability to read blueprints and make fast, accurate decisions related to equipment and processes
- Basic problem solving skills
- Ability to obtain an industrial truck license
- Flexibility in work schedule; working overtime is required
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds
