Job Summary
Teach a 42-credit hour Nursing load per contract, delivering courses in evening, weekend, hybrid, and online modalities. Provide academic advising, serve on committees, conduct program and course-level assessments, and support program development. Utilize learning management systems for instruction and demonstrate effective technology use as a condition of continued employment. Manage student recruitment and retention while participating actively in the college community. Fall semester start with a 12-month renewable exempt term; salary commensurate with education and experience.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in nursing from a recognized, regionally accredited college or university
- A master's degree in nursing from a recognized, regionally accredited college or university
- West Virginia RN licensure or eligibility for such licensure
- Demonstrated use of advanced technology systems such as learning management systems or similar technologies
- Regular, predictable, and reliable attendance and punctuality
- This is an on-site position
- May require working alternate hours or alternate locations upon request to support campus mission
Desired Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in nursing from a recognized, regionally accredited college or university and at least 10 years of direct patient care experience in Nursing
- Understanding and application of assessment practices
- Successful college-level teaching experience
- Prior effective use of technology in instructional delivery
- A willingness to deliver courses in all instructional modalities
- Demonstration of teaching effectiveness
