Job Summary
Trainee Fire Sprinkler Technician role in Wellington service team focusing on servicing, testing and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems. Learn alongside experienced technicians while gaining NZQA qualifications and a clear pathway into a long-term career in fire protection. Responsibilities include assisting with servicing, testing and maintenance, supporting technicians to diagnose and repair faults, helping with installation tasks, learning safe work practices (including working at heights), and delivering professional service to customers. Requirements include a full, clean NZ driver licence; strong practical, hands-on attitude; willingness to learn; good communication and customer-focused mindset; problem-solving ability and attention to detail; and clean criminal history. First Aid certification is advantageous; prior trade, mechanical, plumbing or construction experience is beneficial but not essential. Offers include an hourly rate of NZD 25–28, NZQA training and development, and support from experienced technicians.
