Job Summary

Lead the development and provision of the Achieve program, providing leadership in its promotion, planning, implementation, assessment, and evaluation. Guide learners through a person-centered process of developing personal goals and action plans for employment, independent living, and social networking. Facilitate applied learning experiences including job shadowing and work experience to help students transition to employment or other NSCC core programs. Manage program promotion, community building, and admissions processes while writing data-driven reports and conducting program evaluations. Complete a part-time adult education program and provide updated immunizations and a Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search before starting employment.

Required Qualifications

  • undergraduate degree in social services or a related discipline
  • minimum of five years (full-time equivalent) of recent and related occupational experience
  • demonstrated experience supporting persons with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorder
  • experience working with individuals with social and emotional issues
  • familiarity and comfort using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite
  • experience with Brightspace
  • comfortable working in a digital environment
  • commitment to acquiring knowledge about advancing technology
  • commitment to using technology to create an exceptional student experience
  • experience in training/facilitation preparation, delivery and evaluation
  • experience supporting/providing service to students and prospective students
