Job Summary
The Fourth Grade Teacher will plan, organize, and implement an instructional program in an elementary learning environment that guides students to develop academic potential; collaborate with staff, parents, and students; utilize current subject matter and technology; set clear objectives, differentiate instruction, and monitor student progress; establish and communicate grading standards; maintain positive relationships; participate in professional learning communities and regular meetings; ensure compliance with licensing, background checks, and district policies; support a safe, engaging classroom and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Colorado Teaching License within 60 days from date of hire
- Elementary Education Endorsement or
- Teacher must be highly qualified in applicable content area through: Endorsement on a Colorado teaching license or Passing score on a State Board of Education approved content exam (ETS Praxis Series) or Be eligible for a TiR or Alternative Licensing Program in content area
- Fingerprint-based criminal background check and must be cleared by the Office of Human Resources
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary
- READ Act training requirement for K-3 or Reading Interventionist position with enrollment/progress evidenced in a CDE-approved program by 2026-2027 school year or certificate of completion
