Job Summary
4th Grade Teacher responsible for planning and delivering an engaging instructional program, aligning to standards, and promoting student achievement. Key duties include designing daily lesson plans and learning objectives, using current and relevant subject matter, integrating technology, differentiating instruction, collecting and analyzing student data, communicating with parents, and maintaining accurate records of student progress. The position also requires compliance with licensing and background checks and may involve Read Act training requirements for related grades.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Colorado Teaching License within 60 days from date of hire
- Elementary Education Endorsement or
- Teacher must be highly qualified in applicable content area through the following options: Endorsement on a Colorado teaching license; Passing score on a State Board of Education approved content exam (currently the ETS Praxis Series); Be eligible for a TiR or Alternative Licensing Program in content area
- Fingerprint-based criminal background check and must be cleared by the Office of Human Resources
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary
- READ Act training requirement for K-3 or Reading Interventionist positions with evidence of enrollment/progress in a CDE-approved training course completed within the 2026-2027 school year or provide a certificate of completion
