Build leadership among staff and administration to foster shared ownership of the school's vision. Make core content engaging by aligning instruction with common core standards, essential standards, and 21st-century literacy skills including global awareness, financial literacy, and ICT. Teach existing core content revised for critical thinking, problem-solving, and technology integration while facilitating instruction through varied methods. Assess student learning and facilitate teamwork development. Collaborate with families and significant adults, adapt teaching for students with special needs, and demonstrate ethical principles of honesty and integrity. Perform other duties as assigned. Requires NC teaching certification, a four-year accredited degree, and a background check.
