Job Summary
Support students in business and community settings to strengthen employment skills while assisting employers with accommodations and supports for independence. Facilitate transition assessments to align student abilities with career goals and maintain accurate records of progress. Collaborate with TAP Facilitators, teachers, parents, and community agencies to ensure professional workplace interactions and appropriate decision-making. Provide instructional support and assist with data entry using technology. Requires flexibility for evening and weekend shifts, physical stamina for daily student care, and successful completion of Job Coaching and instructional support training. Reports to the Work Experience Coordinator and consults with transition specialists and district staff.
Required Qualifications
- Two year or more degree in a profession that emphasizes services to individuals with disabilities or have commensurate experience within the above field
- Computer/Technology skills
- Successful completion of or willingness to successfully complete training in Job Coaching areas
- Successful completion of or willingness to successfully complete training in instructional support for students and businesses
- Physical and emotional stamina to meet daily student care needs
- Willingness to have a flexible schedule to accommodate student work needs
- This may include evenings and weekends
