Job Summary
Provide educationally related speech and language intervention to students in a school setting; develop and implement individualized education/treatment programs for students with communication challenges; assess speech and language skills; consult with teachers to develop IEP goals; provide resources, modeling strategies, and training to team members; communicate assessment results and progress to school staff, parents, and students as appropriate. Includes managing materials and environment for the program and collaborating with colleagues; position favors experience with AAC and IEP processes; master’s degree and IL SLP licensure required. Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:30–3:30 with benefits such as insurance, housing per diem for travelers, licensure reimbursement, 401(k) match, weekly pay, and ongoing professional mentorship.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Communications Sciences Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology
- Current IL SLP license
- PEL with SLP endorsement
- Prefer experience with AAC, functional communication needs, speech sound disorders, & IEP paperwork
