Job Summary
As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a school setting near Arlington Heights, IL, you will develop and implement individualized education/treatment programs for students whose ability to communicate has been impacted by developmental differences, disabilities, or injuries. You will provide educationally related communication intervention for students with language, speech, or hearing disorders in a variety of settings, assess speech and language skills, consult with teachers to develop IEP goals and objectives, provide resources, modeling strategies and training to other team members, and regularly communicate results of assessments and progress to involved school staff, parents, and students as appropriate. This role emphasizes collaboration, hands-on therapy planning, and supporting young learners to improve communication and educational outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Communications Sciences Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology
- Current IL SLP license
- PEL with SLP endorsement
- Prefer experience with AAC, functional communication needs, speech sound disorders, & IEP paperwork
