Job Summary
Develop and implement individualized education/treatment programs for students whose communication abilities are affected by developmental differences or disabilities. Provide educationally related communication interventions, assess speech and language skills, consult with teachers to develop IEP goals/objectives, model strategies for team members, and regularly communicate progress to school staff, parents, and students. The role emphasizes collaboration with educators, management of materials and environment for the speech-language program, and ongoing professional development in pediatric speech-language pathology within a school setting.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Communications Sciences Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology
- Current IL SLP license
- PEL with SLP endorsement
- Prefer experience with AAC, functional communication needs, speech sound disorders, & IEP paperwork
