Job Summary
Coach student athletes in the assigned elementary and middle school softball program. Organize and supervise the total sports program, establishing and maintaining good rapport with students, employees, community members, and vendors. Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality while adhering to standard practices and safety principles. Perform duties outdoors in inclement weather, including summer heat, requiring extended periods of standing. Obtain and maintain required certifications, including Arizona coaching certification and NFHS Concussion in Sports training.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Arizona teacher certification, or Arizona coaching certification, or Level 1 Certification issued by National Federation of High School Associations (NFHS)
- Previous successful coaching experience in the assigned sport
- Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card (AZ IVP FPCC)
- Obtain and maintain First Aid/CPR certification
- Completion of NFHS Concussion in Sports
- Completion of NFHS Cheer & Dance Safety Certificate
- Standard practices, methods and materials of assigned work
- Occupational hazards and applicable safety principles and practices

- Requires standing in inclement weather including summer heat
