Job Summary
Collaborate effectively with the Athletic Director, Head Coach, and Athletic Department to instruct athletes in fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training. Develop game strategies, motivate the team, and adapt coaching to suit athletes' skill levels while ensuring proper supervision during trips and practices. Maintain professionalism, dress appropriately, and arrive on time for all practices and games to promote respect and good sportsmanship. Complete the full season schedule, including league contests, and adhere to Board of Education and District policies. Support the Head Coach in maintaining equipment inventory and a well-organized practice environment.
Required Qualifications
- previous coaching experience
- Knowledgeable in all phases of the sport
- Complete all required information and background checks designated through the MCPS Policy Manual
