Job Summary
Coach student athletes and organize the total sports program for assigned teams at Youngker High School. Establish rapport with students, faculty, staff, and parents while ensuring adherence to AIA guidelines and district eligibility requirements. Communicate team policies across Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Freshman levels and monitor compliance with drug and alcohol codes. Report rosters and athletic scores to the Athletic Director and assist with athletic events. Requires valid Arizona teacher or coaching certification, IVP fingerprint clearance, and First Aid/CPR certification. Seasonal employment includes outdoor work in inclement weather with extended standing.
Required Qualifications
- Previous successful coaching experience in the assigned sport
- Valid Arizona teacher certification, or Arizona coaching certification, or Level 1 Certification issued by National Federation of High School Associations (NFHS)
- Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card (AZ IVP FPCC)
- Obtain and maintain First Aid/CPR certification
- Completion of NFHS online education course entitled "Fundamentals of Coaching"
- Completion of NFHS online education course entitled, "Concussion in Sports - What You Need to Know"
