Job Summary
Develop and deliver a developmentally appropriate pre-kindergarten program in a preschool classroom for ages 2-5; motivate and support students to build foundational skills for elementary school; establish rapport with students, families, staff, and community partners; communicate with parents/guardians and coordinate with district specialists; set goals and monitor progress using district methods; maintain confidentiality under FERPA; participate in required trainings and workshops; ensure safety and compliance with licensing and ADA requirements; supervise and coach staff while providing direction to meet program standards; maintain records and use basic software; uphold customer service standards and adapt activities to diverse backgrounds.
Required Qualifications
- Six months of child care experience
- High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma; OR at least 12 credit hours from an accredited college or university with at least six credit hours in early childhood or related field
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in early childhood, child development, or related field; OR N.A.C., C.D.A., or C.C.P. credential
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Negative Mantoux TB skin test within 12 months of hire or health-proficine provider statement within 6 months
- Food Handler's card
- Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
